Jack Shear is a singer-songwriter from North London making up for lost time. After years of quietly writing songs, Jack only began pursuing music publicly in his 30s, having spent most of his life terrified to sing and play in front of other people. That changed in 2023, when a chance open mic performance became a turning point — one that pushed him from the shadows of self-doubt onto the stage. Since then, Jack has been performing regularly and releasing his own music, finally giving voice to the songs he’d been holding onto for years.
Jack’s songwriting is rooted in honesty and reflection, exploring themes of growing older, redefining success, and what it really means to “grow up.” His music combines the sensibility of folk, the joy of pop, and the authenticity of punk, creating songs that feel intimate, hopeful, and quietly defiant.
In 2025, Jack released his 33 Trilogy — three singles written and released at the age of 33 — each capturing a different facet of chasing a dream later in life. Together, they form a snapshot of an artist reckoning with time, expectation, and the courage it takes to begin again. With every release and performance, Jack Shear proves that it’s never too late to start — and that sometimes the most powerful stories come from those brave enough to finally tell them.
